EYEBROWS PROCEDURE
There are two directions in cosmetic eyebrow tattooing: the first one is natural, when
eyebrows look natural, and the second is decorative, which imitates decorative
cosmetics (pencil, shadow). The natural image matches the hair, skin, iris colour. It
corrects the shape leaving most hairs. The technique is called “Haitstrokes” or
combined with “Shading”. The decorative permanent makeup gives vent to
imagination. Any shape or colour is possible, the only rule is that it should not look
like a tattoo, it should seem just a decorative make-up. The most frequent technique
for this type of permanent makeup is shading.
Before the procedure, an artist should ask the client about the shape, colour and
application method. A client wearing their daily makeup and preferred clothes is best
of all, it helps to understand their view on the face and comfort colour combinations.
It is necessary to find out whether the woman will change the hair colour and hairdo,
in what direction. Ladies who love experiments should set their choice on neutral
eyebrow colours matching or repeating the natural colour of the root of the hair.
After a detailed discussion, the artist makes a sketch of the shape with a pencil or
shadow imitating the final result of the procedure. Some artists make a mistake
outlining the contour with unsuitable means (a marker pen, gel pen), because the
client, looking in the mirror, will not be able to imagine the result, and only authority
of the specialist might save the procedure.
When the artist and the client agreed on the shape and colour, they should fill in the
informed consent blank recording all the client's data: possible contra-indications,
pigments, etc. Besides, the client signs for post-procedural care instructions.
The next stage is an anesthetization. Taking account of dermopigmentation skin
damage painful sensation is inevitable. Local application means help to ease the pain
and make the procedure more comfortable. The best is by right 5% Emla cream and
Mesonumb ointment. The cream is applied on the eyebrow area and covered with an
occlusive dressing. Exposition time is 20-40 minutes. The longer the deeper gets the
cream and will be more efficient. It is better to remove the anesthesia in turn, first
from the eyebrow to be treated, while the other remains under an anaesthetic.
First movement with a machine fix the sketch on the skin. The law is the eyebrow
should not be outlined in a precise line. For a nice result even the decorative style
requires naturalness. That's why the contour is applied easily in separate strokes,
points, etc. It is perfect when a specialist can perform a permanent makeup without
contouring the eyebrow, this is the unsurpassed skill! For more lightening the sketch,
the artist can dilute the pigment with a special solution Mix, which will dissolve the
colour and make it transparent. Unless the eyebrow is completely painted the pigment
is not removed in order not to harm the sketch inadvertently.
Then it's time for the main procedure, the eyebrow is painted in a chosen technique:
in separate hairs or shading. If the techniques are combined, then hairs are made first.
The more thorough the work is performed, the less is the probability of additional
procedure, i.e. correction. The artist should spare no time to look at the work
carefully under the lamp with a magnifying glass or light the skin with a special
pinpoint torch.
Symmetry is of no small importance. The second eyebrow should be made the same.
With the purpose one can use: a) a mirror – an artist can look at the client from
behind, a little from above through the mirror: b) a digital camera with a screen –
make a photo of the result and look at it attentively.
