Question from a client: New and fresh lips permanent makeup looks like lipstick. Is that as it should be?
Yes, that's absolutely normal.
Let's have a look at it in detail.
The pigment is situated in each layer of skin after the procedure - in derma, in all layers of epidermis and on the surface as a defensive scab.
Apparently, the pigment will look brighter comparing to the final look.
If lips are evenly colored and not swollen, they will look beautiful and as if you put some lipstick on them.
In the first couple of days, the lips change its color from deep red to even brown depending on the condition of the scab, and in 5-7 days, they finally get their pallor, as if they are powdered.
This upper layer of flaky epidermis gives such effect.
Only in a month, when epidermis finally turns absolutely transparent, we will get this very color that is going to last on your lips for several years.
If you are not satisfied with the color's exposure or its contrast, you can change it in a month by adding another pigment to the top.
